Great list of tunes ya got there! So, Tom Waits stuck with you. Supa-cool. He is an incredible songwriter–you should check out more of his stuff if you haven’t already.

It is crazy how music evokes memories–how songs/artists get inextricably linked to our lives and how a melody or groove can bring on a whole rememberence of a “time.” Music is powerful and I think affects most people very, very deeply. Your list is a great idea and it was an interesting read.

Very nice stuff man. I never knew the “Kokomo” story before. I’m still going to give you shit about it. Also, Rod Stewart’s “Every Picture Tells A Story” always kind of struck me as the opposite of “Maggie May.” It’s not the Faces, but I still like the tune.

And you know “Float On” is about dead bodies, right?
